You don't have to keep carrying this alone

Most people who call me have been putting it off for a while. They're managing, but managing is getting harder. If any of this sounds like you, you're in the right place.

The worry won't turn off

Your mind races at night. Small things set off a knot in your chest. You're tired of feeling on edge and want to know why it's happening and what to do about it.

Everything feels heavy

Getting through the day takes everything you've got. The things you used to enjoy don't land the same. You're not sure when it started, only that you're worn down.

You and your partner keep circling the same fight

The same argument, different night. You still love each other, but you've stopped feeling heard. You want to talk without it turning into a wall of silence or a blow-up.

A loss you can't seem to move through

Someone or something is gone, and the grief still catches you off guard. People expect you to be past it. You just need room to feel it and someone to sit with you in it.

Focus, follow-through, and parenting feel like a battle

Whether it's you or your kid, ADHD makes ordinary days harder than they should be. You want real strategies and a little less guilt about how tough it's been.

You keep ending up in the same relationship pattern

Dating feels like running the same script with a new person. You want to understand what pulls you toward the wrong fit and how to choose differently.

How I can help

I work with adults, teens, couples, and families. Here's where I spend most of my time, in person at my Dallas office or online anywhere in Texas.

Depression Counseling

When getting out of bed feels like a job, we slow things down and figure out what's underneath it. Depression counseling in Dallas focused on getting your energy, sleep, and interest in life back, one step at a time.

Anxiety & Stress Therapy

Racing thoughts, panic, social anxiety, the constant hum of stress. We work on what's driving it and on practical tools you can use when it hits. Anxiety therapy in Dallas that gives you something to hold onto.

ADHD & Parenting

ADHD touches focus, mood, and family life. I help adults and parents build systems that actually fit how their brain works, and I help kids and their folks stop fighting the same fights over homework and mornings.

Relationships & Dating

If you keep landing in the same kind of relationship, we'll look at why. Counseling for the patterns, doubts, and old wounds that shape who you pick and how close you let people get.

Couples Counseling

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, couples work is at the heart of what I do. Communication, trust after an affair, feeling like partners again. Couples counseling in Dallas for people who want to stay and do the work.

Grief & Loss

Grief doesn't run on a schedule. Whether the loss is recent or years old, I make space for it without rushing you toward 'moving on.' Grief counseling in Dallas that lets you feel what you feel.

About Andy Sibley

I grew up around this work. My father was a psychotherapist, and I spent my childhood tagging along to family-therapy workshops, watching how a good conversation could change how a family treated each other. It stuck with me. I've now spent more than 20 years doing it myself in Texas and Louisiana.

I'm both a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor, which means I'm trained to work with the person in front of me and the relationships around them. That matters. A lot of what brings people in isn't only happening inside their own head. It's happening between them and the people they love.

For 16 years I've also taught psychology as an adjunct professor at Louisiana Tech University. Teaching keeps me sharp and keeps me honest about what actually helps and what's just talk. My whole approach comes down to a simple idea: I'm not here to fix you. I'm here to help you help yourself.

Getting started is simpler than it feels

  1. 1. Reach out

Call or send the form. Tell me a little about what's going on. No pressure, no clinical grilling. We'll figure out if I'm the right fit and get a first session on the calendar.

  2. 2. Your first session

We talk. You share what brought you in and what you'd like to be different. I'll ask questions, get a feel for your history, and we'll map out where to start. You set the pace.

  3. 3. The ongoing work

We meet regularly, usually weekly at first. Over time you'll build insight and real tools. I'll check in on how it's landing so the work stays useful, not just a standing appointment.

Fees & insurance

I keep this straightforward so you're not guessing. I accept most major insurance, and self-pay rates are listed below. If you're using insurance, call your plan to confirm your therapy benefits, or reach out and I'll help you sort it out.

Questions people ask before they call

Yes. I see clients in person at my Dallas office and online by secure video anywhere in Texas. Plenty of people mix the two. Online works well if you're busy, live outside Dallas, or just feel more comfortable talking from home.

I accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum, UMR, and United Healthcare. Coverage varies by plan, so it's smart to call the number on your card to confirm your therapy benefits. If that feels like a hassle, reach out and I'll walk you through it.

Self-pay is $200 for a 50-minute individual session and $250 for couples or family. Extended 80-minute sessions are $300. If you're using insurance, your out-of-pocket cost depends on your plan. No surprises, and I'm happy to talk it through before we start.

Mostly we talk. You tell me what brought you in and what you'd like to change. I'll ask about your history and what you've already tried. By the end we'll have a sense of where to begin. You don't need to prepare anything or have it all figured out.

It depends on you and what you're working on. Some people come for a few months around a specific problem. Others stay longer for deeper change. We'll talk about goals early and keep checking whether the work is still serving you.

Yes. As a marriage and family therapist, I work with individuals, couples, teens, parents, and whole families. Sometimes the fastest way to help one person is to shift how the people around them relate to each other.

Yes. What you tell me stays between us, protected by law and professional ethics. There are a few narrow legal exceptions, mainly around safety, and I'll explain those plainly at our first session so you know exactly where things stand.

No. As a therapist I don't prescribe medication. If it seems like medication might help, I'll refer you to a psychiatrist or your doctor and coordinate with them so your care fits together.
